The graph on the left is the ideal circumstance where all member states keep to their non-binding pledges. On the right we see what happens if only the US continues emitting at present rates. The red line sits at the peak of the right chart for comparison.

Either way, we’re on track for at least 4°C change in temperature by the end of the century. That’s within the lifetimes of the children being born today.
