There really isn’t anything I can add, so I highly recommend reading Yonatan Zunger ‘s article on Medium.

Lately, when I talk about Nazis – and the importance of fighting them without quarter – I often get frustrated when people seem to think the word is a generic slur for “anyone I don’t agree with,” or that an argument against Nazis is therefore automatically also an argument that will slippery-slope into being against everyone.
This is not true. “Nazi” has a very specific meaning: not as the name of a group (there have been many Nazi groups over time), but as a coherent ideology with a recognizable pattern of beliefs. And that ideology is fundamentally inimical to anyone who isn’t a Nazi; it is a proven threat to human life.
So I’ve amplified my latest Twitter rant into what I hope is a slightly more coherent post: about what Nazism is, why we fight it, and given that context, what we do about it.
