New Goals Require New Skills
Learning to live with ADD has been a challenge over the last 10 years, but I like to think that I’ve done reasonably well. Together with my wife, we took the practice from struggling to thriving; from barely getting by to living in our dream home. But we have set new and ambitious goals, and I’ve realized that unless we grow beyond where we are now, we won’t achieve them. You know that old saying, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result.” Well, we’ve been stuck at this level for 3 years, and if we don’t change, we’ll STAY stuck at this level. Not that it’s a bad level, mind you! But …….. there can be more.
I’m not just talking about money, either. My G+ friends should know me well enough by now to know that money isn’t my driving force. It’s nice, sure, but that’s not what it’s about. One of our goals is certainly financial, however.
There’s so much to do – this must be the beginning of a new stage in personal growth. New skills, new disciplines, new knowledge, new focus, at home and at work.
Feel free to follow along, and if you’re looking to make similar changes, join along! And definitely – if I slack off, help hold me accountable – I need it!
