Earth Day 2017 – My planet. My part.
I create images; with inspiration that often comes from the strangest place.
Today is Earth Day. Over a year ago, when I thought about the state in which we are about hand over Earth to our next generation, I realized that I did not have to look very far for inspiration.
The problems that we, as adults, often consider insurmountable, can be a source of inspiration for our children. So I ask children the question:
“If earth was the size of a beach ball, what would you do to save our planet?”
This photo essay is an illustration of their responses. I hope that the solutions these children have come up with will inspire you to do what it takes to leave our children and grand-children an Earth they can live on.
