Being an Expert has It’s Own Pitfalls
Fascinating follow-up study by the authors of the original Dunning-Krueger study with an additional researcher, demonstrating that experts can easily fall prey to the same errors in over-confidence in their own field of expertise, not just in other areas.
I find it particularly interesting that they would express familiarity with non-existent terms! And it makes me wonder just how susceptible I am to such a test. Hmmmmm…..
