An interesting look at both the good and the bad of Obama’s foreign policy efforts that I found quite good. And while I’m not quite so sure that I agree that the balance falls on the side of failure, the arguments presented are cogent, well thought out, and IMO valid criticisms.
As the author, Stephen M. Walt, points out in his conclusion, though:
“But as I said in my column earlier this month, just because things look grim today does not mean they cannot get worse. And if they do, Obama’s presidency, despite the missteps and missed opportunities, will seem like an era of honor and decency that Americans willfully cast aside and may never fully regain.”
