A comment from FB that is well worth reading. I am also one of the privileged, wealthy, white males who recognize the truth in what this man says.

There aren’t many Facebook comments that I would call profound. This one is, and I’m giving no other introduction.
“I enjoy a peculiar privilege. I am an old, white, male, born in the USA. I am at ‘the top of the food chain’ of the whole world. There is not much else above me when it comes to privilege & possibilities. Only money & social status makes a difference here on out. In part because I recognize that truth, I must disagree with you on where the majority of the racism comes from. It comes from those with the greatest convenience. It is in the form of a tacit almost casual racism that socially and economically suppresses those who aren’t white as to opportunity and reciprocal treatment. It may not be obvious in your world, but that is part of your privilege, your convenience. But to those who are not white, it is obvious, and it is real. It fosters and feeds the anger you feel from the Black community – I submit that what you feel is not Racism from Blacks. It is anger at the inequities, and you should not confuse the two.”
